Restore a backup of your Minecraft world

Restore a backup of your Minecraft world

Applies to: All servers · All plans

If your world is corrupted, a mod broke your server, or you want to undo a change, you can restore from a previously created backup.

Before you start

  • You understand that restoring a backup will overwrite your current server files. Any progress or changes made after the backup was created will be lost.
  • You need to stop your server before restoring.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your Syrup dashboard and open your server.
  2. Stop your server. See Start, stop, or restart your server.
  3. Go to Management > Backups.
  4. Find the backup that you want to restore.
  5. Click Deploy.
  6. Click Start Restoration.
  7. Wait for the restoration to complete. You’ll get a notification when it’s done.
  8. Start your server and confirm it’s working.

Check if it worked

Start the server and check the console. If the world loads without errors and you see your expected state in-game, the restore was successful.

Common issues

ProblemFix
